Rabbi David Rosen KSG, CBE, is the former Chief Rabbi of Ireland, and previously served as the Senior Rabbi of the largest Jewish congregation in South Africa and as judge on the Cape Rabbinic Court.
For more than two decades he served as the Jerusalem based International Director of Interreligious Affairs of AJC (the American Jewish Committee) before recently taking up the position of Special Advisor to the Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi.
He serves on the Chief Rabbinate of Israel’s Commission for interreligious Relations; and is past chair of the International Jewish Committee for Interreligious Consultations (IJCIC) that represents world Jewry to other world religious bodies.
Among his many honorary positions, he is a President of the world interfaith body Religions for Peace, and he was the Jewish founding member of the Board of Directors of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue [KAICIID.]
For his contributions to interreligious reconciliation, he has been knighted by the Pope and made a Commander of the British Empire by the late Queen Elizabeth II.
